Ellza is an ancient Dragon Rider, a cyborg vessel bearing the soul of a dragon.
Her design is inspired by the Japanese technique "Kintsugi", which is mending broken pottery with gold.
All Dragon Riders should eventually decay and be reborn into a new dragon that will guide the next Dragon Rider. This is a process that Ellza failed to go through, and instead, she keeps her body from decaying by mending it with gold.
Thank you TUB for the concept!

I am very delighted to have finished this character! It's been extremely fun to make, and I've learned new things. I think challenges like these really help you improve as an artist.
I decided to do my own take on TUB's character design, giving it a more realistic look. This wasn't for any particular reason, I just feel more comfortable working with realistic characters, since it's mostly all I've done throughout my career.
I collaborated closely with TUB, making changes to the design where needed in order for the character's 3D interpretation to make sense. This way, we agreed on tweaks we both liked and considered appropriate.
Thanks for checking me out and good luck to everyone in the challenge!
